Towards the south end of the island you will find Herring Cove.  The cove's mix of freshwater and saltwater make for great opportunities to view a unique blend of wildlife. The salmon begin their run in mid-June which brings out the local brown bears, eagles, sea gulls and seals for a natural feast.   |
