Hummer Guide/Driver

Job Description: Guiding small private groups on a tour as described in a Hummer H2.

Job Responsibilities: As a hummer guide your main objective is to see to every possible want or need of your passengers while giving them a guided tour of Ketchikan. Guides will provide an interesting and factual tour, answer any questions the guests may have, and attend to any special requests that may arise. Guides must always be informative, friendly and most of all professional. Guides will convey a sense of professionalism in both demeanor and appearance.

Job Requirements: Guides must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license, preferably having at least 9 years driving experience. Guides are also subject to pre-employment drug screenings.

Age: Must be 23 or older

Pay Rate: D.O.E.

Hours: Average 40 hours a week.


Salesperson

Pay:  D.O.E.

Position: Part-time seasonal May through September

Hours:  Average 30-35 hours per week

JOB SUMMARY:

To promote Alaska Hummer Adventures and make ticket sales per availability.

Responsibilities:

As a salesperson your main objectives are to make ticket sales for Alaska Hummer Adventures and promote the company in a positive manner.  You will be required to maintain open radio communication with general manager calling in updates in ticket sales, and help to avoid overselling.   You will be responsible for setting up your selling booth on the dock and maintaining a clean and neat working area.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  1. Accurate cash handling abilities.
  2. Keep open radio communication with general manager.
  3. Neat and accurate writing of credit card slips.
  4. Convey a sense of professionalism in both demeanor and appearance.
  5. Give clear and accurate directions.
  6. Be able to stand for long periods of time.
